When I travel with my three iclhdren and husband, we always fly with only carry-on lugguge. Depending on the airline, the fees for checked baggage roundtrip would add up. I find it takes a bit longer to pack since I am careful about what we all bring. I roll mostly everything to conserve space and I try to pack in two color schemes so that most everything in my bag goes is coordinated to go with everything else.
What I do (depending on the airport) is check my bgaagge in then go through security and straight to the toilet where I load all the heavy stuff from my carry-on onto my person. Then I go through the rest of the gauntlet until I am right at my gate. If I can, I then slip into the toilet again and unload or if not I hold it until the plane is called, then wait until I am the very last person to go through and at the back of the We all stood up for ages and then pushed and shoved to get to the front of the queue and now we are all standing in the tunnel because the Business Class people AT THE FRONT OF THE PLANE and WHO GET TO BOARD FIRST are still loading their bags into the overhead compartment line . I move everything back into the bag so I can be comfortable on the plane. No one in front of me is looking back, we are no where near the plane yet so they can’t see me and the people that scanned my ticket are wishing Mr Jones would stop whatever he is doing and get to the plane now because the flight is about to close and they have things that they should be doing.
